TYPEFACES/ ARTIST TYPEFACE TRANSCRIPTION

In process and production group we were asked to take a few printed examples of various art works and using those works to create 3 different typefaces.

I have paid attention just to one of them. It was Brockmans' work (on the left). I wanted to create typeface which would have similar details like the selected work and also would remind never stopping movement of a city. I found it quite interesting and easy to do and also it was another good experience how to use a program - Illustrator.

The second typeface I decided to do very differently from the first one but also using Illustrator programme. I found two artists from where I took inspiration (here). I chose one picture which looked for me very beautiful also I like colour in this art work.

In this picture from left there are many different figures as polygons, triangles or squares. I decided to try my typeface just using triangles and similar shades of cold colours. I wanted that this typeface would look like a small iceberg parts that would look shapeless.

The third typeface I decided to do without any artist inspiration, just using my own head. I wanted to try something different, that this type should look like sketch type or hand - drawn.

In general I enjoyed doing this work very much. It deepened my knowledge how to use Illustrator programme and also I understood that everything is possible just need patience.
