FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION

During the last theory seminar with Tracy and Anna we were given a task to estimate modern thing which we like by using its form and function. 

So, I decided to choose photo camera Canon EOS 750D.

  

Think about the relationship between its form and its function? Which do you think has been given precedence by the designer?

If talking about all cameras from all over the world, it can be hard to answer this question, because there are many different photo cameras in different needs. But I think that this time the function has been given more thought than form. Over the ages the form of photo cameras has just changed very little, but function of photo cameras is increasing very fast. Today many people buy cameras which can have as many various settings as possible. For that reason in my opinion designers trying to make function as precedence.      

How prevalent is the relationship between its form and function?

Photo cameras are one of those things which must have a strong connection between the form and function, because nowadays technology level is very high and can be done new things easily. With lightweight parts of camera and a lot of various settings makes shooting much easier and without struggle.

How could the form be improved to benefit the function?

In my opinion, camera almost reached perfection. They are lightweight, not hard to carry and also have different set ups for everyone needs. Just a plastic surface of the camera gives a very huge minus.
