POST MODERN/MODERN FAIRY-TAIL

In our today Monday sessions with Tracy and Anna we talked about post-modern and modern fairy-tails.

 

Shrek- 2001 American animated comedy which was released by Dream Works pictures.
Shrek animation references a quite big variety of  other movies and animations and etc:

• Transformation scene to the beast in the end of the animation. animation Beauty and the Beast
• Fiona's fight with men in the forest. movie The Matrix
• Fiona's song to the bird in the morning. Disney animation SnowWhite and the Seven Dwarfs
• Three of the forest residents was pigs. animation Three Little Pigs
• Movie heroes fight using spells. game Final Fantasy VII
• Robin Hood's merry men dance in the forest. dance River dance

Typical Disney beginning of the animation (over the thousand seas), but not typical princess, not typical prince. Unusual expression.
